Gulfstream announce U.S. Certification for Type and Production of their new G500 series. With 10 touchscreens and a third-generation Enhanced Vision System in the flight deck this will be one of the most advanced aircraft in the skies.

Gulfstream Aerospace are known for their luxury business jets and have been in business since the early 1950’s, this exciting news builds on a foundation of pre-existing world class aircraft.

Surpassing the initial plans laid down in 2014 for the G500, the production aircraft boasts a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.925 with a distance of 4,400 nm which is 600nm more than the original plans. It can even achieve a maximum distance of 5,200nm when cruising at Mach 0.85

The G500 is set to replace the G4500 which originally entered production 2004, this replacement boasts the new ‘Pratt & Whitney PW814GA’ turbofan engines that produce 15,144lbf of thrust on takeoff.

The all new ‘Glass Cockpit’ is state of the art, with heads up display and Enhanced Vision System that optimise the pilots awareness in low visibility. This is the first ever production aircraft that is certified to use Synthetic vision to land.

One of the main advantages of the G500 is the larger cabin width, at 18cm larger than the G450 and 100% fresh air, the passenger experience is vastly improved.

With a maximum cruising altitude of 51,000ft and panoramic windows you can travel in style while embracing the curvature of the earth at 0.90 times the speed of sound.

Gulfstream have already started production and plan to have the first deliveries in Quarter 4 of 2018.
